these are beginner lessons, got questions email me at maggot128@outsidethenine.com

ok first lets start off with the basics, no better way then to go straight into it. before we start, I need to give you some tips.

1.practice everyday (I practice weekday 1-2 hours, weekend 3-4 hours sometimes more)

2.NEVER GIVE UP! EVER!! no matter how hard a song is don't stop trying, keep playing till you finally get the hang of it (make sure your playing songs at your level which we will discuss later)

3. Don't get shitty gear it pretty much ruins your chance of sounding good (fender, gibson,bc rich etc.(for guitars) for amps, line 6, marshell, fender (tube amps are the best)

OK now that we got that out of the way lets start.

starting with the parts of the guitar i will show the electric then the acoustic take some time to learn it, or you will get confused in the next lesson.

Now the acoustic

Ok after studying that we need to learn the strings.(six string)

the thickest sting is the low-e (towards the ceiling, and the thinnest is the high-e(towards the floor) MAKE SURE YOU LEARN THIS WRITE IT DOWN IF NEEDED.

now we need to learn about the pick,

if you don't hold it properly you will pick unwanted strings (if you hold it this way and it dont seem right, hold the pick the most comfortable way to you.

this is the correct way to hold the pick, but if your not comfortable with it, try the way your most comfortable with.

now how to hold the guitar (when sitting i like to put a foot stand under my right foot for extra support.

and the electric

how to strum a guitar. hold the pick, pick you frets, then strum straight down on the wanted strings and palm mute the unwanted strings(palm mute lesson on the menu

now you have mastered the basics!!

next lesson (beginner lessons) you will learn to read tabs, how to palm mute, and more just go to the menu and click beginner lessons
