OK lets tune our guitar to standered before we start.
you must have an electric tuner (check out the tuning by ear in the tuning column)
i have used many different tuners and this one is the best(if yours looks like this your good)
OK you will have to remember the guitar string names for this lesson.
lets start with the low E string (string closest to the ceiling) plug the jack
(cord) into the guitar and plug the other end into the tuner. pluck the low E string and turn the tuning key the way the tuner tells you to. looking at the picture above when the light is red on the right side you need to turn the tuning key to the left until the needle hits the E with is the on on the left. (note. the letters on the tuner go in order so E,then the next string down is A, then D etc.)
for acoustics all you do is bring the guitar close to the sound hole (7 inches) and repeat the steps above.
